Champions of Change

We're proud to partner with these amazing women and incredible athletes who believe in the need for equipment equality and giving every athlete the option to protect themselves when they play and compete.

AJ Haughey, Rugby Life University

A.J. Haughey is a women’s rugby player at Life University, where she plays in the back row and has been a standout for both the XVs and 7s squads. Originally from California, A.J. is known for her relentless work ethic, leadership, and impact on the national stage—having been named to the USA Rugby All-American First Team and selected for the USA U20 Women’s National Team. As a Boob Protect ambassador, A.J. is passionate about leveling the playing field for female athletes. “Female athletes have gone without this kind of protection for too long,” she says. “It’s more than gear—it’s a statement.”

Sophia Knoblock, Lacrosse Butler University

Originally from Massachusetts, Sophia is a Division 1 lacrosse player at Butler University pursuing her Pharm. degree while competing collegiately. Having played lacrosse since age 6, she's passionate about inspiring younger girls to pursue all their ambitions without compromise. As a Boob Protect ambassador, she advocates for breast protection in sports: "Female athletes should have access to breast protection equipment like they have for mouthguards and eyeguards. It's time for breast health to be viewed as fundamental in the context of sports performance and safety."

Liberty Benitez, Rugby Life University

Liberty Benitez is a women's rugby player at Life University, where she plays Fly-Half and is set to graduate in 2027. Growing up in a big family, she draws motivation from the strong community around her, which drives her to continuously improve. As a Boob Protect ambassador, Liberty has become passionate about raising awareness around breast protection for female athletes. "There are so many cases of health problems for women because of lack of protection," she says. "I would hate to see this continue to grow, when we can help." She believes that normalizing the conversation around breast protection can make it more comfortable for women and girls to address this important health issue.

Hannah Stewart, Rugby Player Cullompton, Referee

Hannah Stewart is a lifelong rugby player and level 9 referee, officiating everything from juniors to men’s fixtures.  After a playing injury left her sidelined, Hannah turned to refereeing to stay connected to the game. As a ref, she loves the inclusive, competitive, and social atmosphere. Her favorite memory? Scoring her first try in the Premiership in Scotland, almost a “you’ve got this” moment! Playing goes back generations in Hannah's Family and she gets the love of the game from her dad who has been the greatest role model in her playing journey.  Now playing for Championship side, Cullompton, she's back on the pitch with Boob Protect a permanent addition to her kit bag!
