In 2018, Suzie Betts, Founder of Boob Protect, discovered painful lumps in her breasts which required biopsies and surgeries. Doctors thankfully confirmed they were non-cancerous and most likely caused by impacts from sports in her youth.

After her medical scare, Suzie realized that many female athletes may unknowingly face long-term breast health issues from playing sports.

With her two daughters playing contact sports, she decided to take action. Working with experts in medicine, sports as well as female athletes, Suzie developed prototypes which she later patented to launch Boob Protect, filling a crucial gap in female sports protection. The inserts are thin, lightweight, designed to ‘cup’ the breasts for support and fit comfortably in any sports bra, alleviating impacts and preventing injuries that can affect both on-field performance and participation in sports for female athletes.

Boob Protect inserts also negate the potential for long-term breast health issues from impacts in sports.

About the Product.

As Suzie embarked on her Mission to provide breast protection for all female athletes, she worked with medical and sports experts, product designers, athletes and sporting bodies to arrive at the final, patented Boob Protect inserts.

  • Our inserts are made of shock-absorbing polyethylene material, a lightweight, resilient and closed cell foam used for cushioning, impact absorption and vibration.
  • Polyethylene is known for its flexibility and resilience, able to withstand repeated compression without losing its shape, its low density makes it a good choice for applications where weight is a concern, making our inserts super lightweight.
  • Our inserts are only 2mm thick and weigh only 4.2 ounces, designed to encapsulate each breast to ensure a snug fit boosting athlete performance, providing protection with comfort.
